Newborn Lifestyle Photography Oxfordshire | Baby Henry

Henry was just five days old when I came for his newborn photography session, and what a gorgeous little thing he is! Snapping away through naps, feeding and changing, I really felt privileged to have captured a small glimpse of life with this lovely family – a life vastly different for mum and dad than it had been just a few days before! An Autumn Outdoor Family Shoot in Oxford

It was really exciting planning this shoot with Angela and her family a few weeks ago. I’d just found the most amazing location for an Autumn family shoot, just a few minutes drive from Oxford in Shotover Country Park and couldn’t wait to get up there! Angela and Toby have two lovely children, Islay and Beau, both of whom were enjoying an afternoon in the blustery outdoors, just before the weather turned that bit colder. Not forgetting of course their beautiful African dog Zola. SEE IMAGES

Edith’s Pre-School Mini Session

Edie is very nearly two and about to start Pre-School, and to celebrate this important milestone in her life we spent a little while in her garden practising the activities she’ll no doubt be doing a lot of once she starts! Edie’s Dad is a photographer too and so she knows exactly what to do when the camera comes out.

Kudos also to Edie’s mum Clare who let her loose with the paints on the patio!  -SEE IMAGES>

BLOG POST | Oxford | The Malloy Spring Bluebell Family Shoot

Lena is Amy and Tony’s first child and was about to be Christened, so Amy and Tony decided to have a family photoshoot among the bluebells in the stunning bluebell woods between Oxford and Abingdon. We had loads of fun in the flowers as Amy and Tony tried desperately to stop Lena from picking and eating them! Lena’s pictures went on the wall at the Christening reception with smiles and giggles all round.  SEE IMAGES

BLOG POST: Family shoot in Wolvercote Orchard, Oxford

It was wonderful to spend a couple of hours with this young family a couple of Saturdays ago. They approached me and asked if I would be able to mark their son’s approaching first birthday with a family shoot, with the aim of giving the final printed images as Christmas presents. With the turning of the seasons the orchard was the perfect place for colour and a variety of backdrops and we had fun playing with the fallen apples, including trying some as well! SEE IMAGES

BLOG POST: Wolvercote Apple Day

I live in a Wolvercote, a small village just north of Oxford City Centre. This village and its surroundings, in my opinion, is at its absolute best in early autumn. From the bountiful harvests of fruit and veg on the allotments in Port Meadow, to the horse chestnut trees along the main roads displaying their last fiery glory before their leaves disappear, every corner has a photo opportunity. This weekend the village had its annual Apple Day, where anyone with 50p and a taste for amazing local fruit can rock up, grab a basket and pick their own from an amazing variety of apples that’s been established in the community orchard. Add to that the musical stylings of a funky street band Horns of Plenty, challenges such ‘the longest apple peel’, apple pressing, conker games and beautiful warm weather and you have the perfect recipe for a fun family afternoon.
